The principal owner and financier of Purkinje is John Doerr. Mr. Doerr is a partner in Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield, and Byers and has provided venture capital funding to some of the most successful technology companies in the world, including: Compaq, Netscape, Symantec, Sun Microsystems, Amazon.com, and Google. He currently serves on the boards of Google, Intuit, Amazon, Sun Microsystems, and Purkinje.
